Meet Megha:
Inspirational Dancer, Teacher-Trainer, Educator, Author
Megha Nancy Buttenheim is the founding director and CJO (Chief Joy Officer) of Let Your Yoga Dance. As a legacy faculty member at Kripalu Center, she has been leading teacher-trainings, retreats, and classes there since 1985. She has offered keynotes, workshops and trainings around the USA, Canada, and England, as well as in Melbourne, Australia and Costa Rica. She brings her passion and expertise as a lifelong dancer, actress, singer, yogi, and educator in experiential learning to all her presentations.
Megha believes that dancing is the key to a joyful life. She instills that belief in everyone she meets. Known for her delightful energy, humor and skill, she quickly moves her students into their embodied joy.

Megha works not only with the general population, but special populations as well, especially those with Parkinson’s, MS, elders, and those overcoming the effects of chemotherapy. Megha’s Let Your Yoga Dance Teacher Training for Special Populations teaches those who wish to bring Let Your Yoga Dance to those who need it most. Megha has worked closely with both the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA). Having received four generous grants from APDA, she has offered weekly Let Your Yoga Dance for Special Populations, and taught at many conferences for Parkinson’s around the USA and Canada.
Megha was also on the faculty with the Wholebeing Institute when it began, creating the role of Director of Movement and Meditation for the Certificate in Positive Psychology. She has worked closely with acclaimed happiness author and Let Your Yoga Dance enthusiast, Tal Ben-Shahar. Megha created a unique curriculum and book for Tal’s certification: Expanding Joy: Let Your Yoga Dance, Embodying Positive Psychology, experiential learning at its best.
